Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Automotive Reliability Engineer to join our team at Semtech Corporation. As a key member of our design centre, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of our automotive semiconductor products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute reliability qualification plans for new products and processes.
  • Analyze reliability data and create formal reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address reliability qualification failures.
  • Predict product reliability levels and perform lifetime calculations based on reliability stress test results and ongoing monitoring data.
  • Work with design and test engineering teams to design and manufacture high-temperature operating life (HTOL) and highly accelerated stress test (HAST) boards for reliability qualifications.
  • Assist in the disposition of manufacturing lots held due to issues that may affect product reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and revisions that may impact reliability qualification stress conditions.
  • Respond to customer requests for qualification data, FIT rates, and other product reliability engineering-related data and inquiries.
  • Represent the team in New Product Introduction (NPI) meetings and ensure successful delivery of reliability commitments.
  • Prepare technical reports and summarize findings to recommend solutions to technical problems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics, Electrical or Electronics Engineering. Master's degree and PhD in related field would be an advantage.
  • At least 5-year experience in semiconductor product reliability engineering, including drafting of reliability qualification plans and reports, and performing field lifetime calculations.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards such as JESD47, JEP122, JS-001/02, AEC-Q100/101/006, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of IC fabrication and assembly/test, semiconductor physics, BJT and MOSFET theories, and basic circuit configurations.
