Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Automotive Reliability Engineer to join our team at Semtech Corporation. As a key member of our design centre, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of our automotive semiconductor products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute reliability qualification plans for new products and processes.
  • Analyze reliability data and create formal reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address reliability qualification failures.
  • Predict product reliability levels and perform lifetime calculations based on reliability stress test results and ongoing monitoring data.
  • Design and manufacture HTOL and HAST boards for reliability qualifications and work with vendors to ensure quality.
  • Assist in the disposition of manufacturing lots held due to reliability issues and review industry standards for new revisions.
  • Respond to customer requests for qualification data, FIT rates, and other reliability engineering-related data.
  • Represent the team in NPI-related meetings and ensure successful delivery of reliability commitments.
  • Prepare technical reports and summarize findings to recommend solutions to technical problems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics, Electrical or Electronics Engineering. Master's degree and PhD in related field would be an advantage.
  • At least 5-year experience in semiconductor product reliability engineering, including drafting of reliability qualification plans and reports, and performing field lifetime calculations.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards such as JESD47, JEP122, JS-001/02, AEC-Q100/101/006, and IC fabrication and Assembly/Test, semiconductor physics, BJT and MOSFET theories, and basic circuit configurations.
