Job Title: Advanced Nurse Practitioner Mental Health Primary Care

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Community Mental Health Team. The successful candidate will work closely with senior medical colleagues to develop expert intervention for individuals with complex mental health issues.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate outpatients clinics for a range of mental health difficulties
  • Offer clinical opinion, advice, and instigate necessary treatment
  • Work with individuals under both primary and secondary care
Requirements:
  • MSc in Advanced Practice
  • Core Profession Degree
  • Non Medical Prescriber
  • Experience of working in a CMHT
  • Confident in Autonomous Decision Making
  • Ability to demonstrate clinical leadership amongst a team
What We Offer:

This is a key nurse workforce development role, ideally suited to an individual who can satisfy the requirements of both the academic study requirements and the pillars of the framework for advanced practice in Wales.

The successful post holder will play a key role in the modernisation of the community mental health team model of care.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
