Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse with Leonard Cheshire, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care and support to our customers with physical disabilities. You will work closely with our team to ensure that our customers receive the best possible care and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care and support to our customers with physical disabilities
  • Work closely with our team to ensure that our customers receive the best possible care and support
  • Order and administer medication, ensuring safe storage and record-keeping in accordance with internal procedures and NMC guidelines
  • Effectively lead a team of support staff, prioritizing and planning to ensure the smooth and efficient management of the shift
  • Support ongoing assessments, observing any changes in health and well-being, and maintaining accurate records

Requirements

  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of nursing theory and best practice at the level of a qualified nurse (level 5)
  • Understanding of the NMC code of conduct and relevant practice standards and guidance
  • Effective nursing practice in all basic registered nurse procedures
  • Flexibility to work rostered hours and on-call rota as required
