About the Role

Morrison Energy Services Ltd is seeking a highly skilled SHEQ Manager to join our Net Zero (EV) team in Liverpool. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of health, safety, environment, and quality (SHEQ) activities across our EV Charging Infrastructure contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and joint venture partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  2. Provide SHEQ support to bids and contracts to ensure robust pricing, risk management, and governance.
  3. Monitor and manage the performance of MES direct staff, agency staff, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with SHEQ standards.
  4. Support the procurement of subcontractors, suppliers, and joint venture partners to ensure SHEQ compliance.
  5. Develop and implement changes to processes to improve performance and efficiency.
  6. Support the development and implementation of Safe Systems of Work, including SHEQ Plans, Construction Phase Plans, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
  7. Monitor site compliance with statutory SHEQ responsibilities and the Business Management System.
  8. Monitor SHEQ performance, record findings, and advise management on timely follow-up actions.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH construction certificate or NEBOSH general certificate with construction experience.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Appreciation of Health & Safety legislation.
  • Relevant SHEQ experience in Utilities / Electrical or Construction industry.
  • IT literate with experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel, and the internet.
  • Diploma NVQ Level 3 or above.
  • Electrical Safety background.
  • Understanding of all relevant statutory, regulatory, and company policies and guidelines.
