About the Role

Morrison Energy Services Ltd is seeking a highly skilled SHEQ Manager to join our Net Zero team in Liverpool. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health and safety, quality, and environmental performance across our EV charging infrastructure contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and joint venture partners to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  2. Provide SHEQ support for bids and contracts to ensure robust pricing, risk management, and governance.
  3. Monitor and manage the performance of MES direct staff, agency staff, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with health and safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  4. Support the procurement of subcontractors, suppliers, and joint venture partners to ensure compliance with SHEQ requirements.
  5. Develop and implement changes to processes to improve performance and efficiency.
  6. Support the development and implementation of safe systems of work, including SHEQ plans, construction phase plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
  7. Monitor site compliance with statutory SHEQ responsibilities and the business management system.
  8. Monitor SHEQ performance, record findings, and advise management on timely follow-up actions.
  9. Assist in incident investigations and reporting to identify root causes and implement recommendations to mitigate reoccurrences.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH construction certificate or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Appreciation of health and safety legislation.
  • Relevant SHEQ experience in utilities, electrical, or construction industries.
  • IT literacy with experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel, and the internet.
  • Diploma NVQ Level 3 or above.
  • Electrical safety background.
  • Understanding of relevant statutory, regulatory, and company policies and guidelines.
  • Ability to react to changing workloads.
