Youth Development Leader

We are seeking an experienced Youth Worker to lead our Networks project, a 3.5-year initiative funded by National Lottery Reaching Communities England.
This role involves leading drop-in sessions and providing support to young people who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET).
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the issues facing local young people and be passionate about supporting them to identify and overcome barriers.
You will work closely with external stakeholders, such as schools and colleges, and develop relationships within youth sector networks in Dorset.
As part of this role, you will also lead on mental health work, delivering training and sessions with young people in groups and one-to-one.
You will be responsible for identifying areas where Targeted Youth Support is needed and facilitating referrals to appropriate agencies.
In addition, you will assist with the delivery of the GRT camp project and support the management and development of other projects across DYCC.
You will have experience of working with young people, ideally with a Level 3 Youth Work qualification, and be willing to undertake additional training if required.
A key aspect of this role is being able to travel to meet young people at their homes and accompany them to college placements.
With a competitive hourly rate of £81 and holiday pay included, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a company pension scheme.
