About the Role

The Dorset Combined Youth Justice Service is seeking a full-time Youth Justice Activities Coordinator to join our stable and supportive team based in Dorchester.

As a key member of our multi-agency team, you will play a crucial role in developing constructive activity opportunities for young people, enabling them to participate in the development of our service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to support the delivery of our activities.
  • Develop and maintain links with community organizations and charities to provide diverse volunteering opportunities.
  • Collaborate with education workers to create engaging activities for children and young people.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the community, and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or holding a Level 3 qualification in Youth Justice or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to coordinate and supervise the work of others, making Youth Justice Service volunteering accessible to diverse sections of the community.
