**Job Overview:**

As a Rehabilitation Officer Vision Impairment (ROVI) at Shropshire Council, you will be part of a specialist team providing community care and support services to individuals with vision loss. Your primary goal will be to help them overcome problems caused by visual impairment.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing them to work effectively with clients, families, and other stakeholders. You will also possess strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to adapt to changing situations.

Salary: £28,782 - £31,417 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide community care and support services to individuals with vision loss
  • Work closely with clients, families, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and develop personalized plans
  • Collaborate with the specialist team to provide psychological and emotional support, rehabilitation services, mobility training, and technical services

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, occupational therapy)
  • Proven experience working with individuals with visual impairments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
