Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Performance Test Engineer to join our Transportation team, specializing in Railway Signalling. As part of our team, you will be responsible for the fundamentals testing and commissioning of new and altered signalling systems for Major Works Testing of substantial Signalling projects.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of interlocking schemes, utilizing your extensive experience and knowledge of signalling basics. You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent organisation skills, communicate effectively with staff at all levels, and work under pressure within a highly regulated environment.

The role involves split working between fixed office-based design workstation testing and site-based projects. You may be required to lodge away for extended periods and work unsocial hours. A full UK driving license is essential.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the fundamentals testing and commissioning of new and altered signalling systems
• Represent AtkinsRéalis at Client meetings
• Identify resource requirements for projects and ensure competent staff are utilized
• Deputise for the Testing & Commissioning Engineer (Principles)

Requirements

We are looking for a motivated and organized individual with the following qualifications:
• Experience in Railway Signalling Testing/Commissioning of any size of Projects
• Principles and Functional Tester IRSE Licence
• Thorough and detailed knowledge of Network Rail Signal Works Testing Handbook
• Current Driving Licence

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
