Gerrell & Hard: Mechanical Test Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Test Engineer to join our team in Hampshire, UK. This is a great opportunity to work on the development of composite pipe testing methods and contribute to the growth of our company.

About the Role:

  • Develop and carry out short and long-term tests of composite pipe.
  • Lead the development of testing methods and projects (including instrumentation) to facilitate greater understanding of composite pipe structural performance.
  • Prepare test procedures, analyze test data, and write test reports to clearly communicate the objectives, methods, and results of test campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop test equipment and procedures for high-pressure applications.
  • Collaborate with the design, manufacturing, and analysis teams to ensure effective testing processes.
  • Conduct material property testing and provide support to Business Development by proposing appropriate testing methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in mechanical testing and development, with a focus on composite materials.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
