About the Role
CHEC is a leading organisation in the eye health sector, and we are seeking highly skilled Patient Booking Coordinators to join our Referral and Bookings Management Centre team. As a Patient Booking Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for patients, general practitioners, and optometrists throughout the referral process.
Key Responsibilities
- Process referrals and book patient appointments using our booking system
- Liaise with primary, community, and secondary care providers using a mix of telephone and online e-referral, NHS, and in-house IT systems
- Perform ad hoc administration duties as necessary
- Work effectively and efficiently to CHEC standards
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- IT literacy
- Ability to work under pressure and to service levels
- Empathy and patience with referrals
- Strong communication skills and confidence when speaking on the phone
- Good attention to detail
