Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated paediatric nurse to join our team as a Staff Nurse in the Paediatric Assessment Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our young patients and their families.

Main Duties

As a Staff Nurse in the Paediatric Assessment Unit, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership and coordination to the team on each shift
  • Linking with Ward 8, ED, and Day Case Coordinators to ensure patient flow is maintained
  • Liaising with the multidisciplinary team regarding patient care
  • Ensuring all relevant referrals are completed, such as safeguarding, health visiting, and children's community team
  • Acting as an appraiser for team members, developing the future workforce
  • Maintaining standards and encouraging continuous improvement
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Appropriate NMC Registration
  • RN8 or RNC Children's Nursing Posts
  • Diploma in Nursing
  • NMC recognised Mentorship qualification or willingness to work towards following 18 months commencement in post
  • Evidence of continuing education or development
  • Level 3 Safeguarding
