Defence Claims Handler

About the Role
Gallagher is seeking a Defence Claims Handler to join our team. As a key member of our claims handling team, you will be responsible for handling a caseload of pre-litigated claims brought by third parties for motor and property losses.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess liability and build and maintain reserves in accordance with client service level agreements and key performance indicators.
- Investigate the merits of third-party claims and negotiate with third parties, third-party insurers, and third-party representatives to reach settlements efficiently.
- Handle third-party hire and repair processes, including instruction of own repair, hire provision, loss adjusting, and investigation support partners.
- Ensure full compliance with office protocols, client service level agreements, and key performance indicators for all claims handled.
- Maintain 100% data integrity compliance on the office case management system for all claims handled.
- Instruct and collaborate with client panel solicitors on litigated claims.
- Adhere to all financial transaction requirements outlined in client service level agreements, key performance indicators, and The Solicitors Accounts Rules.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. You will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
