Emergency Medicine Sister/Charge Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a permanent Sister/Charge Nurse in the Emergency Department at University Hospitals of Derby & Burton. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated individual to lead, motivate and support a team of nurses in providing high-quality patient-centered care.
The Emergency Department is a busy environment, seeing on average 130,000 patients per year. The department consists of a 6-bay initial assessment area, 17-bay Majors area, 3-bay resus, and a dedicated area for patients presenting with minor injuries or illnesses. Our team works closely with consultants, staff-grade doctors, junior doctors, emergency nurse practitioners, nurses, healthcare assistants, reception/secretarial staff, and housekeepers.
Responsibilities- Lead, motivate, and support a team of nurses in providing high-quality patient-centered care.
- Mentor students and develop their skills in emergency nursing.
- Develop and implement plans to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and effective communication.

Requirements- NMC professional registration.

- Triage trained.
