We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced Paediatric nurse to work in partnership with the Ward Sister on the Paediatric Surgical Ward within the Women and Children’s Hospital.

The Junior Sister role will provide clinical, professional and managerial leadership for a ward based team of qualified and non-registered staff. The post holder will be required to deputise in the absence of the Ward Sister and ensure a positive patient experience through the delivery of high standards of patient care. You will be expected to lead on clinical nursing practice within the clinical area.

The successful applicant will play a vital role in staff and service development as well as participating in clinical working, audits, benchmarking and undertaking managerial responsibilities. Good communication and team building skills, and the ability to support and develop staff are essential.

You must be a Registered Children’s nurse and have experience of people management. You will work alongside the Ward Sister ensuring strong nursing leadership promoting effective team working and excellent communication.
