Experienced Nurse Required for a Challenging Role in Medicine
2 days ago
At Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality care across our three sites.
We have an exciting opportunity for newly qualified registered nurses who are due to qualify between January 2024 and March 2024 to join our multi-disciplinary teams and embark on a rewarding career journey.
The successful candidate will be joining an organisation that prioritises supporting newly qualified nurses to consolidate their skills and knowledge through a comprehensive 12-month preceptorship programme.
This programme is designed to facilitate a seamless transition into the role, with clinical educators and specialist teams providing guidance and support both face-to-face and via digital platforms.
The post holder will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team in a supportive clinical environment, completing the Trust's Preceptorship package and utilising excellent education facilities.
During the preceptorship period, the nurse will provide care across their chosen pathway, identifying strengths and areas requiring further development to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
This will enable them to become a confident and competent nurse, practicing in accordance with the NMC Code (2018) and preparing for their first NMC Revalidation in 3 years' time.
We are committed to providing lifelong career development opportunities, allowing nurses to consolidate and develop new skills and knowledge across various parameters, including clinical skills, research, education, leadership, and quality improvement.
Flexible working arrangements are available to support a good work-life balance.
We have vacancies across multiple departments, including Surgery, Medicine, Emergency Departments, Critical Care Units, Theatres, Endoscopy, and Diagnostic & Out Patient Services.
Nurses can choose from a range of clinical areas or opt for rotational posts across various pathways, with an agreed initial base ward/departments assigned at the point of recruitment.
