Project Manager

We're a leading manufacturer of convenience food in the UK, driven by a purpose to make every day better. Our vibrant and fast-paced environment employs around 13,600 colleagues across 16 manufacturing units and 17 distribution depots nationwide. We supply all major UK food retailers with a wide range of products, from sandwiches and soups to cooking sauces and ready meals. In FY23, we generated revenues of £1.9bn, thanks to our direct-to-store distribution network and commitment to quality.
At Manton Wood, our team of around 1,700 colleagues produces sandwiches and wraps for top retailers, including Co-op, Asda, Morrisons, Boots, Aldi, and Lidl. Our site offers a gym, restaurant, and staff shop for all colleagues.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Project Engineer, you'll design, plan, and deploy engineering solutions to enhance asset capability. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering new equipment installation and commissioning, minimizing manufacturing disruption
- Ensuring new equipment drawings and maintenance recommendations are transferred to maintenance teams
- Developing User Requirement Specifications (URS) for clear project planning
- Creating AutoCAD drawings as specifications from engineering project managers' designs
- Completing design costings or installation as part of large projects, following engineering project managers' direction
This is a Monday-to-Friday position, with some flexibility required.
What We're Looking For
As a Project Engineer, you'll utilize your project delivery experience daily. We're looking for someone with:
- PMI, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification
- Experience using Microsoft Project or equivalent project management software to report on project progress
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software to produce design specifications
- Qualifications and ability to assess machine safety
