About the Job

Five Education Recruitment Limited is seeking an Educational Mentor to support a student with challenging behaviour in engagement and participation in class. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated individual to make a real difference in the lives of our students.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to create a positive and supportive learning environment conducive to the success of students. They will be responsible for guiding pupils when they are struggling and helping them to become regulated and calm.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support 1:1 with identified pupil in class and around the school
  • Work under the guidance of the class teacher to enable student to access the curriculum and possibly tailor tasks to their ability levels
  • Guide pupils when they are struggling and help them to become regulated and calm
  • Assist the class teacher with pupil and classroom management

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with SEMH/complex needs
  • Right to work in the UK (Valid Visa)
  • Relevant references and DBS/police checks if necessary
  • Able to work 5 days a week (term time only), 8:30-15:30
