Bacchanalia Team Member - Senior Sommelier

Bacchanalia, a renowned culinary destination in Mayfair, is seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Sommelier to join its esteemed team. As a key member of our wine program, you will be responsible for curating an exceptional wine experience for our discerning guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curate and manage the restaurant's wine list, ensuring a diverse and high-quality selection.
  • Assist guests in choosing wines that complement their meals and preferences.
  • Provide insights into wine regions, varietals, and vintages.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop wine pairings for menu items.
  • Oversee wine service and storage, ensuring proper handling and presentation.
  • Conduct wine tastings and educational sessions for staff and guests.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new releases, and emerging vineyards.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Sommelier in a high-end restaurant or luxury establishment.
  • In-depth knowledge of wines, regions, and wine production.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a memorable and personalized wine experience for guests.
