About Sale e Pepe of Knightsbridge Ltd

We are a renowned Italian restaurant in London, committed to serving classic cuisine with authentic hospitality. Our menu features modern Italian classics made from the finest ingredients and freshest seasonal produce, reminiscent of Italy's rich culinary heritage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing any wine-related inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Assist guests in selecting wines that best complement their preferences and enhance their dining experience.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive wine list that complements our menu offerings and caters to the diverse preferences of our guests.
  • Collaborate with our Head Wine Connoisseur and management to create wine-pairing suggestions for seasonal menus and special events.
  • Conduct regular wine tastings and staff training sessions to ensure consistent quality and service standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new wine releases, and emerging wine regions to continuously enhance the wine program.
  • Build and maintain relationships with wine distributors, winemakers, and industry professionals to source unique and exclusive wines for our guests.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of wines, maintaining optimal conditions to preserve their quality and flavor profiles.

Requirements/skills:

  • Proven experience as a Wine Connoisseur or similar role in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel.
  • Strong understanding of food and wine pairing principles, with the ability to create harmonious combinations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and educate staff members and interact with guests.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality service.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operating hours.
  • A passion for wine and a genuine desire to share that passion with guests and the team.
