You will be an important member of the EU Hub senior leadership team, working closely with stakeholders, peers, and senior leaders across the department. Your role will be to lead and continually improve the pace and effectiveness of delivery, managing, coaching, and supporting your team to achieve their goals.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic and delivery-focused team in a fast-paced policy context. You will be responsible for building a comprehensive understanding of the work of the EU Hub and other teams involved in EU-related work, enabling you to identify strategic priorities, commission work, make connections, and provide advice to colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the EU Capability, Governance, and Programme Management Office team, ensuring effective delivery of EU-related work across DBT.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve the pace and effectiveness of delivery, aligning with ministerial priorities.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, peers, and senior leaders across the department, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Manage, coach, and support your team to achieve their goals, providing guidance and development opportunities as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience of leading multiple work strands within an organisation, with a proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Sufficient knowledge of project and programme management approaches to oversee and assure the quality of the PMO team's work.
