About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Respiratory Care Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients with respiratory conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our specialist respiratory team to deliver a home-based pulmonary rehabilitation service to patients in Morecambe Bay.
  • Conduct holistic patient assessments, including exercise testing, functional assessment, and clinical observations.
  • Provide patient education, treatment, and deliver programmes of therapy/rehab or exercise under the remote supervision of Physiotherapy/OT or Nurse colleagues.
  • Travel independently across Morecambe Bay to visit patients in their homes, deliver equipment, and attend service meetings/training.

Requirements

  • Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care/Assistant Practitioner Qualification or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving licence/Ability to travel independently to areas not served by public transport.
  • Computer skills relevant to the role (Electronic patient records, EMIS, STRATA).
  • Literacy skills at level 2 or above (GCSE, Functional Skills or equivalent).
