Project Procurement Specialist

Rubicon Consulting is seeking a skilled Project Buyer to join our team in Wolverhampton. As a Project Buyer, you will play a crucial role in the management of procurement and purchasing activities, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage procurement and purchasing activities, including supplier management and contract negotiation.
- Work closely with the project team to ensure successful project delivery, identifying cost-saving initiatives and negotiating favourable terms with suppliers.
- Manage subcontractor/supplier contract lifecycle, expediting with regular reviews and updates to the project procurement plan.
- Monitor and review the trending of technical queries (TQs) on a bi-weekly basis, reporting to the Supply Chain Development Manager.
- Support the analysis of Make v Buy costing data and assess, manage, and mitigate subcontractor/supplier risks that could contribute to supply chain disruptions.
- Regular reporting to the Project Manager on the performance of subcontractors and/or suppliers.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a purchasing position managing suppliers, ideally within a project-based environment.
- BA Degree qualified and working towards MCIPS qualification or MCIPS qualified.
- IT Literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels.
