Procurement Specialist Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled Procurement Specialist to join Butler Ross, a well-established manufacturing business based in Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing spends on various categories across multiple manufacturing sites, taking a sustainable supplier-centric approach.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within purchasing or procurement, specifically within a manufacturing environment, at buyer or junior buyer level. They will be keen and motivated to progress in their career and have a strong focus on excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing spends on various categories across multiple manufacturing sites
  • Negotiating stock holding agreements or other methods to enable smooth materials flow
  • Purchasing Order placements for both system-driven manufacturing materials and requisitioned parts
  • Identifying potential new suppliers and negotiating best terms from all suppliers
  • Involvement with NPD, NPI, and engineering change activity and effective coordination of suppliers and stock requirements
  • Managing vendor performance, including involvement with supplier audits
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements in conjunction with cross-functional project teams

Person Specification:

  • Experience of fast-paced manufacturing procurement
  • Proven negotiation skills, contract management, and the ability to forge relationships across all levels of the business
  • High work ethic with strong focus on excellent customer service
  • Familiarization of working with BoMs and ability to interpret technical drawings
  • Experience implementing new products and suppliers
  • Clean UK driving license

Salary: £35k-£40k

Location: Wolverhampton

This role requires 100% on-site presence.
