Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Broker to join our team at JLD Recruitment Ltd as a Senior Insurance Broker - Business Development Expert. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the insurance industry and a proven track record of generating new business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective business development strategies to drive new business growth and revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and prospects to identify new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to generate leads and develop targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Meet and exceed monthly new business targets, working closely with the renewals team to ensure a smooth handover post placement.
  • Develop close working relationships with a panel of insurers to negotiate competitive terms and conditions.
  • Cross-sell products to clients based on their needs and demands.
  • Assist the directors and other staff members as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of years' experience working within the insurance industry.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of insurance products, including Combined Liability, Contractors All Risks, Professional Indemnity, and Motor Fleet.
  • Competent in using Acturis, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Excellent written and telephone communication skills.
  • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to understand and assist clients and fellow staff members with insurance queries.
  • Target-focused and driven, with a desire to succeed.
  • Ability to deal with difficult customers and situations.
  • Ability to be assertive and diplomatic when required.
  • Ability to network at all levels and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to nurture relationships and delegate effectively when required.
