About the Role:

Your new role as a Senior Insurance Broker means you will be working for a leading Insurance Intermediaries in the construction sector. Whether you are a large nationwide corporate company or an industry specialist operating in the local area, they offer their knowledge and expertise to give their clients the best possible service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generating and writing new business from leads generated internally
  • Working closely with the renewal's teams, managing a smooth placement process
  • Managing a monthly new business target to achieve, building close relationships with the Insurers and clients you work with
  • Speaking directly with the underwriters and insurers, negotiating the risks within the market
  • Assisting staff members and directors when requested

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a New business Account Handler/Broker handling Construction or Commercial business
  • At least 3 years experience working within the insurance market with excellent technical knowledge of Insurance including but not limited to Combined Liability, Contractors All Risks, Professional Indemnity and Motor Fleet
  • Experience using Acturis
  • Fantastic telephone, written and negotiation skills, with a great understanding of handling clients directly
  • Driven and highly motivated with a desire to succeed
  • Assertive and able to negotiate and network at all levels
