Job Summary:

Baltimore Consulting Limited is seeking an experienced SEND Tribunal Officer to join our team on an interim basis. As a SEND Tribunal Officer, you will be responsible for representing the Council in Tribunal appeals and working within the SEN Tribunals team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Appeal Management: Consider and manage appeals from start to finish, including presenting the LA's case at hearings.
  • LA's Response: Draft and submit the LA's response to appeals.
  • Evidence Preparation: Prepare and collate evidence to support the LA's case.
  • Witness Liaison: Liaise with witnesses and represent the Council at final hearings.

Requirements:

  • Proven Track Record: A proven track record of working as a Tribunal Officer within a local authority setting.
  • Recent Experience: Recent experience of appeal management from start to finish, including presenting the LA's case at hearings.
  • SEN/D Knowledge: A good knowledge of SEN/D and the SEND Code of Practice.

Working Arrangements:

  • Fully Remote: This role is fully remote.
  • Inside IR35: This role is classified as inside IR35.
