Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance and Safety Professional to join our team at Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • To ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, implementing procedures and practices across the business to meet these standards.
  • To serve as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on regulations and standards for applicable areas of expertise.
  • To conduct internal investigations to determine root cause failures using LHT system Q/star and develop effective solutions with action owners.
  • To collaborate with the ProX process centre on developing processes, including Regulation Management as part of the Maintenance Organisation Exposition.
  • To work with the Training Department on controlling employee authorisation, maintaining employee rosters and competence, when required.
  • To maintain accuracy of documentation.
  • To complete supplier approval and customer questionnaires.
  • To train new employees in departmental tasks.
  • To undertake project work and reasonable tasks to develop Quality and EHS processes.
Requirements
  • A minimum of an A-level equivalent qualification.
  • Ideal degree qualified in engineering and/or a business function or experience in a similar role coupled with secondary education (A Levels) or BTECH/HNC (Desirable).
  • Experience of EASA Part 145 & 21J and FAA CFR 145 requirements.
  • Experience of working within a Quality Management System -preferably with an ISO91XX background.
  • Practical investigation and working experience in Quality & Safety functions.
  • Or practical experience working within a landing gear facility or similar MRO (minimum 3 years).
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Must be well-organized and able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to analyse for root causes and then create sustainable actions and improve quality.
  • Travel may be required for LHT Forums and Training.
  • Candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK unrestricted.
  • Mandatory Training will be required.

The estimated salary for this position is £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
