About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading manufacturer based near Birmingham Airport. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods to ensure maximum machine efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and respond promptly to equipment faults, identifying root causes and performing necessary repairs on various equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless operations and control maintenance tools, equipment, and stores, monitoring maintenance costs.
  • Manage supply stocks and oversee waste disposal processes, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Utilize strong understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings, single and three-phase systems, and machinery operations to perform custom parts production using manual machinery, including lathe, turret mill, MIG welder, and pedestal drill.
  • Apply a deep foundation in mechanical engineering coupled with strong electrical skills to drive factory maintenance excellence.
