About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Pertemps Birmingham Industrial. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  2. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  3. Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless operations and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Manage maintenance tools, equipment, and stores, and monitor maintenance costs to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  5. Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality materials and equipment.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure our equipment and processes remain at the forefront of technology.
Requirements:
  • Strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems, including single and three-phase systems.
  • Proficiency in using manual machinery to produce custom parts for equipment improvements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes of breakdowns.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
