Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Pertemps Birmingham Industrial. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods to ensure efficient machine operation.
- Perform routine maintenance and respond promptly to equipment faults, identifying root causes and performing necessary repairs.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless operations and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Manage maintenance tools, equipment, and stores, monitoring maintenance costs and optimizing resource allocation.
- Oversee supply stock management and waste disposal processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Utilize strong electrical and mechanical skills to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement process improvements, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems, with a deep understanding of single and three-phase systems and machinery operations.
- Proficiency in using manual machinery to produce custom parts for equipment improvements, including lathe, turret mill, MIG welder, and pedestal drill.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex equipment issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Competitive salary range of £40,000-£42,000.
