About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading manufacturer based near Birmingham Airport. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods to ensure efficient machine operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance and respond promptly to equipment faults.
  • Identify root causes of breakdowns and perform necessary repairs on various equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Manage maintenance tools, equipment, and stores, and monitor maintenance costs.
  • Oversee supply stocks and waste disposal processes.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings, single and three-phase systems, and machinery operations.
  • Proficiency in using manual machinery to produce custom parts for equipment improvements.
