We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to work as a Bank - Healthcare Assistant at our Day Surgery Ward in Plymouth.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care by completing routine observations and pre and post-operative care duties. You will also assist the scrub team in preparing equipment and maintaining a clean theatre environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine patient observations and pre and post-operative care duties
  • Assist the scrub team in preparing equipment and maintaining a clean theatre environment
  • Help with stock control, organizing equipment, and audits
  • Practice good infection prevention and control methods
  • Assist with managing stock control, completing medication checklists, and ordering supplies

Requirements

  • Past experience working in a hospital/surgical environment
  • NVQ level 1 & 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Computer literacy and ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
