Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scrub Nurse to join our team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our operating theatre department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the safe and efficient running of our theatres.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Scrubbing for all specialities
  • Running in the theatre
  • Working night duties
  • Assessing care needs, planning, delivering, and evaluating nursing care
  • Contributing to the safe and efficient running of the operating theatre department
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues and patients
Person Specification
  • First-level registration with the NMC
  • ODP registration
  • Evidence of professional development
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant political and professional issues in healthcare
  • Understanding of the theatre department
