Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scrub Nurse to join our team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Emergency Theatre team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting our surgeons and anaesthetists in the operating theatre.

Main Responsibilities
  • Scrubbing for all specialities in the Emergency Theatre and new procedure room
  • Running in the theatre and ensuring a smooth and efficient operating environment
  • Working night duties and weekends as required
  • Assessing care needs, planning, delivering, and evaluating high-standard nursing and practitioner care
  • Contributing to the safe and efficient running of the operating theatre department
Person Specification
  • First-level registration with the NMC
  • ODP registration
  • Evidence of professional development
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant political and professional issues in healthcare
  • Understanding of the theatre department
