Become a part of our Calibration team as a Calibration Team Lead in Barrow-In-Furness. This is an exciting opportunity with a salary of approximately £65,000 - £85,000 per annum.

">About the Role

The successful candidate will lead our Calibration team in performing and supervising high-level calibration and repair of Mechanical TMDE. They will also develop and maintain calibration procedures and measurement uncertainty budgets.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Calibration team in performing and supervising calibration/repair of Mechanical TMDE, including resource management and workload signoff.
  • Develop and maintain calibration procedures and measurement uncertainty budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with UKAS standards and achieve UKAS signatory status.
  • Mentor and train apprentices/lesser experienced team members.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in precision Mechanical metrology laboratory environments.
  • Understanding of quality systems & standards (ISO 17025/ISO 9001).
  • Relevant academic qualification (STEM Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent).
Desirable Skills
  • Existing UKAS signatory status for Mechanical Calibrations (Pressure, Mass, Torque, Force).
  • Experience in creating measurement uncertainty budgets to ISO 17025 level.
  • Proficiency in automation software (Fluke Metcal, Met/Track, Met/Teams, Labview).
