Key Responsibilities- Conduct fire risk assessments and inspections of occupied buildings to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to employees, managers, and contractors on health and safety matters, including fire safety, hazardous substances, and workplace risks.
- Liaise with the Estates and Facilities team to ensure that maintenance and building projects are carried out safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the development and delivery of health and safety training programs to ensure that employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely.
- Conduct regular health and safety inspections to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Manage accident and incident reporting, including investigating and documenting incidents, and developing strategies to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
- Attend and contribute to health and safety meetings to ensure that the team is informed and engaged on health and safety matters.

Essential Skills- Qualified and competent to undertake fire risk assessments and inspections of occupied buildings, with a strong understanding of fire safety regulations and industry standards.
- Knowledge of Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmosphere Regulations (DSEAR) and the ability to develop and implement effective risk assessments and compliance strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to advise and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
- A positive and proactive approach to health and safety, with a strong commitment to preventing accidents and incidents.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Hybrid working arrangement, with a minimum of 3 days per week working from home.
- Salary range in the region of £41,000 to £45,500.
