About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Legacy and In-Memory Fundraising Manager to join our team at Charity People. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a sector-leading legacy and in-memory fundraising strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive legacy and in-memory fundraising strategy, aligned with the charity's overall fundraising goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, legacy leads, and internal teams, to drive legacy giving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the fundraising team to identify and pursue new legacy giving opportunities, and to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and deliver training and support to staff on legacy and in-memory giving, to ensure that they are equipped to effectively engage with supporters and secure legacy gifts.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the legacy and in-memory fundraising strategy, and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in legacy and in-memory fundraising, with a track record of success in developing and implementing fundraising strategies.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and to contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Passion for legacy and in-memory fundraising, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others.
