About the Role

GKN Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our Site Operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the achievement of our business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HR support to Site Operations, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and training.
  • Investigate employee concerns and compliance issues, and provide guidance on employment law and policies.
  • Develop and implement HR systems and processes to improve organizational effectiveness and productivity.
  • Conduct on-boarding process and review benefits with prospective and current employees.
  • Organize and manage annual open enrollment communications and election process.
  • Maintain compliance with local employment laws and support occupational health issues.
  • Enter updates to HR systems, create reports, and maintain employment records.
  • Conduct research and special projects, and prepare reports and summaries.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • 3-5+ years of full-time human resources experience, including strong employee relations.
  • 3 years of experience with California labor laws and leave.
  • 3 years of experience with Excel.
  • Must be a US citizen, per specific program requirements.

  • SHRM certification.
  • HR process knowledge experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate problems simply and effectively.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (incl. Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to effectively work autonomously with the support of the site HR leadership team.
