Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Programme Management Specialist to join our team at NHS Blood and Transplant. This role will be responsible for managing large budgets and reporting for high-profile programmes within the Blood Technology Product Centre.

About the Role
  • Manage budgets and report progress to various boards, including the NHSBT board and Department of Health and Social Care.
  • Ensure programme work is governed and aligned with organisational methodologies.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in project management, budgeting, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

The Programme Management Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Managing budgets and reporting progress to senior executives and boards.
  • Ensuring programme work is aligned with organisational methodologies.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in project management, budgeting, and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate risks and communicate progress to senior executives and boards.
  • Cabinet Office (OGC) PRINCE 2 Practitioner certification or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Management of Successful Programmes (MSP) Practitioner certification or equivalent knowledge and experience.
