Job Summary:

The Senior Client Manager, Commercial Risk Specialist will play a key role in driving business growth and client satisfaction by leading the service team on large accounts. This includes coordinating key services, developing initial placement/renewal strategies, and building strong relationships with carriers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the service team on large accounts, ensuring seamless coordination of key services and development of initial placement/renewal strategies.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with carriers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
  • Perform marketing activities for large accounts, identifying new business opportunities and developing targeted campaigns.
  • Prepare risk maps and peer review risk maps for assigned accounts, providing expert analysis and recommendations.
  • Coordinate service delivery, ensuring timely and effective execution of client needs.
  • Complete special projects, leveraging expertise to drive business growth and improve processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the firm, business segment, and processes, bringing issues and discrepancies to leadership.
  • Serve as a mentor to new colleagues, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive team success.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical knowledge of general insurance market conditions and specific insurance carrier underwriting appetites.
  • Ability to analyze complex risk exposures, existing insurance coverages, and develop appropriate recommendations for clients and prospects.
  • Excellent client service and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to learn other software programs as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with a professional insurance designation or working towards one.
  • At least five years' experience in account management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Licenses: Maintains all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide service, consultation, and financial risk transfer solutions in states where the firm operates.
  • Effective presentation skills through verbal and written communications, with a focus on delivering clear and concise messages.
  • Demonstrates the organization's core values, exuding behavior that is aligned with corporate culture.
