About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality care to children and young people with complex needs. As a key member of our Community Learning Disability Team, you will be responsible for providing specialist nursing assessments, support, and interventions to promote the health and wellbeing of our clients and their families.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with learning disabilities, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and a strong background in community practice. A mentorship qualification and positive behaviour support (PBS) training would be advantageous but not essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a designated caseload of children and young people with learning disabilities, providing autonomous support as required.
  • Provide specialist nursing assessments and implement evidence-based interventions to promote the health and wellbeing of clients and their families.
  • Represent the needs and rights of children and young people with learning disabilities, promoting equality and access to NHS services.
