About the Role

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to join our care home team at Bupa. As the chief fun officer, you will be responsible for creating a vibrant and joy-filled atmosphere for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging activity plans that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
  • Organize and lead morning and afternoon activity sessions, including arts and crafts, baking, book clubs, and other fun events.
  • Collaborate with our care teams to create tailored activity plans that promote socialization, well-being, and independence.
  • Liaise with external companies and performers to organize days out and events at the home.
  • Support residents with one-to-one activities, such as reminiscing, puzzles, reading, or simply enjoying a cup of tea and conversation.
  • Assist with maintaining our social media channels and promoting the home's activities and events.

Requirements

  • A creative and enthusiastic approach to activity planning and delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with residents, care teams, and external partners.
  • Ability to manage budgets and maintain paperwork, prioritizing tasks as needed.
  • A passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others.
