About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopaedic Practitioner to join our team at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Fracture Clinic Plaster Room team, you will be responsible for providing specialist casting and post-operative wound care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality casting and wound care services to patients, ensuring optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in casting and wound care, staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to casting and wound care.
  • Provide education and training to staff members on casting and wound care techniques.
Requirements
  • Registered with the relevant professional body (e.g. HCPC, NMC).
  • Proven experience in casting and wound care, preferably in a trauma and orthopaedic setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to workload and priorities.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in casting and wound care.
