Global Payroll Specialist

The Portfolio Group is seeking a highly skilled Global Payroll Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the payroll team, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on international payroll legislation, particularly in the USA, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
This is a 12-18 month recurring contract opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the team with escalated payroll queries and provide expert advice on international payroll matters.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of international payroll legislation and regulations.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
- Identify and troubleshoot current payroll issues and areas for improvement.
- Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with the global payroll team and wider management to develop and implement effective solutions.
- Produce high-quality reports for senior management.
Desirable Skills and Attributes:
- Proven experience as an international or global payroll specialist or manager.
- Extensive knowledge of payroll functions in international countries.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with different departments and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with automation, continuous improvement, and system migration.
