About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Design Manager to lead our engineering team responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of capital investment projects, including critical infrastructure such as Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs) and Sustainable Urban Drainage (SUDs), as well as enhancements to Sewerage Treatment Works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Plan and allocate resources effectively, recruit and develop talent, and ensure the team delivers high-quality engineering outputs.
  • Innovation and Sustainability: Embrace new digital technologies and develop sustainable solutions to reduce carbon and protect natural capital, aligning with PAS 2080 principles.
  • Safety and Compliance: Fulfil the role of CDM Principal Designer, championing a strong health, safety, and welfare culture within the team.
  • Collaboration and Influence: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, driving collaboration to achieve project goals.
  • Delivering Excellence: Instil a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
