Fawkes and Reece are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to assist a national main contractor in the construction of a £150 million Data Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring design compliance with health & safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, Quantity Surveyors, Construction Manager, M&E team, and site construction to ensure seamless project execution.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to select design subcontractors and provide support for the selection process.
- Review design drawings and lead document design meetings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Communicate design opportunities and risks to the Regional Design Manager (RDM) and other stakeholders.
- Proven experience working in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in design software, such as Revit.
- Experience working with main contractors or developers.
- A competitive day rate.
- An initial 6-month contract with potential for permanency.
