Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design delivery of projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Manage a team of designers and engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver their work.
- Develop and implement design strategies that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other teams, including commercial, technical, and project management, to ensure that design deliverables are aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure that design activities are carried out in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Manage and mitigate design risks, ensuring that they are identified and addressed in a timely and effective manner.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other external partners to ensure that design deliverables meet their needs and expectations.
Requirements
- Chartered Engineer or Project Manager qualification (desirable).
- Proven experience in design management, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of designers and engineers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other external partners.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering business objectives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate design risks.
