Role Overview

Your expertise in fulfilling the role of CDM Principal Designer will be crucial in ensuring safety and compliance across all design activities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the engineering team, planning and allocating resources effectively, recruiting and developing talent, and ensuring the team delivers high-quality engineering outputs.

Drive innovation and sustainability, embracing new digital technologies and developing sustainable solutions to reduce carbon and protect natural capital, aligning with PAS 2080 principles.

Ensure safety and compliance, fulfilling the role of CDM Principal Designer, championing a strong health, safety, and welfare culture within the team.

Collaborate and influence, building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, driving collaboration to achieve project goals.

Deliver excellence, instilling a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in Engineering, preferably with Chartered Engineer status, and substantial experience in leading multi-disciplinary design teams on complex capital projects. Your strong focus on sustainability and efficiency will drive the adoption of new technologies and solutions. With excellent stakeholder management skills, you will build trust and rapport, ensuring successful project delivery that aligns with our commitment to environmental and social prosperity.
